The funny little things

Kavin does. I walk away for a second to find him sitting inside the Tonka truck. I still cant figure out how he got in there in the first place. Such a silly little guy. This is one reason I love being a mom. Your day is always filled with tiny surprises and cute things to always keep a smile on your face and make you giggle.

"GUESS WHO?"

Thats who! We had to entertain ourselves indoors today due to the weather being so cold, windy, and wet.. not a good combination if outdoors. Thinking I was going to be super cool/ fun mom I pulled out the game guess who which has been stored in the garage waiting to be opened and played with. But of course once again mom was a little more excited about this. Weston was the overall champ winning every game. Even better..he wasn't even playing the game right. haha :} But to have the chance to see the oh ya mom I beat you face is well worth it. Oh kids, gotta love them!

Today was just like any other Saturday. The house was filled with the aroma of coffee, tunes with playing, cleaning was in full force, and errands were made. The weather was cold and gloom which only made the house feel that much more cozy. I also got some grass for Betty to munch on while we were at Whole foods grabbing a couple items to make for dinner. Which ended up consisting of a lot of cheese and bread.. but boy was it ever so yummy!

Got a quick snap shot yesterday of Weston's artwork as it hung outside his classroom door. I am amazed at how well he draws now. NO WAY! I thought to myself. I swear my kids always seem to amaze me and deffinitly bring a constant smile to my face. Kuddos big guy.. you make your mama proud. How stinkin cute is this!

Winter in making its way to Portland and I surly am not the one complaining. I am an absolute fanatic when it comes to cold weather and rain. Although first arriving to Portland I was in no way prepared for the cold months ahead. Well No longer am I not prepared.. no sir-re! It was mamas turn to buy something nice for herself. It was love at first sight really with all its little detailing's and layers of its own. Such a perfect little coat to bundle up in.. and amazing AMAZING for layering on top of dresses, tights, scarves, and hats. I go absolutely bonkers when it comes to layers!

{Dear Rose} Hand in Hand & Oh Deer!

Well folks the painting is finally done. Woo Hoo! Hand in Hand is now in store at Dear Rose. Please take a gander and leave a little conversation if you would like. Hearing from anyone about anything is truly a delight. I hope you enjoy!

I am now working on a few smaller projects and hope to have some of them listed in Dear Rose by the end of the day. We will see how that turns out though. Being a mommy entails many daily surprises so I never really know what to expect and what tasks on my daily to- do- list will actually happen.

A work in progress...

Here is a little something I have been busy working on and I am super excited about how it's turning out.  I would have to say over all this would be one of my favorites. It's only about 50% done but I am really looking forward to the final result. Thought I would give you a quick glimpse of the newest addition to hit Dear Rose by the end of the week (crossing fingers). 

Saturday Afternoon at the park

 Once the house was clean and the kids dressed we decided to make the most of this weather and spend it at the park. It is a little chilly today but absolutely perfect to run around in. Kavin started to get a little fussy toward the end of all the pictures and play time but we still had a blast. Leave it to me to forget the blanket to sprawl out on so Kavin practiced walking instead. Which is probably a lot more enjoyable for him compared to being confined to sitting. Along with walking the park he had a blast going down the slide with the big bro. Super cute to watch only wish I took a picture of it. But I was just to nervous to take my hands away for even a second. Happy Saturday everyone!

Nesting

is the name of this painting. She is finally done and up for sale on etsy. It is really neat to see the end product considering I had no clue as to what direction I was going to head into while in the beginning stages of this painting. She is definitely a product of love. So many wonderful feelings blossomed at this time.

UPDATE: Really hoping to finish this one up tonight. I couldn't have done it with out my muse. He makes everything in my world beautiful and every moment breathtaking.
