It is about time I got some of my paintings up on etsy. I have had many attempts and desires through out this past year to open up my store but for some reason never got around to it. Now that Kavin has become more independent it is time for mommy to get down and dirty. Art is something I enjoy more then imaginable and to have the opportunity to share it with you is both exciting a rewarding. All my art is inspired by my everyday life, surroundings, and emotions. More to come very SOON!

This print by jessgonacha brings back wonderful memories of my grandmother singing to me.
You Are My Sunshine
My only sunshine.
You make me happy
When skies are grey.
You'll never know, dear,
How much I love you.
Please don't take my sunshine away.
My only sunshine.
You make me happy
When skies are grey.
You'll never know, dear,
How much I love you.
Please don't take my sunshine away.

The weather has been cold and crisp this past week. Being a newbie from Los Angeles to Portland I am able to experience the first thrills of the fall season.. in a wardrobe sense. Of course fall was always my favorite time of year but even more so now that its a "real" one. All those delightful layers... bring it! For now I can layer and layer and not die from heat exhaustion. This morning was especially a cold morning.. time to pull out the FUZZY SOCKS! Ever so warm and cozy.

Weston and I tried out la photocabine for the first time. If you have not done this I recommend you get on it! Such a blast. Where ever Wes and I go we are in search of a photo booth to hop into and get silly. Now we can do it from the comforts of our home...AMAZING! Be prepared to see a few to many posts of the little man and myself. It is kinda like a kids new toy for us. ;) So with that said we will be snappin shots until we run out of facial expressions.
This funny little cartoon.... makes me chuckle each time I look at it.
Kavins Oasis to lay under and drift off into dreamland.

Wes and I decided today was the day to start decorating for Halloween! I must say I have never been a fan of Halloween but have now come to an acceptance and excitement for this day. Maybe it is simply the fact that having kids make it so much more enjoyable. I do think that trader joes had a lot to do with this change in attitude... "enchanted pumpkins" REALLY! I couldn't wait to get them home and place them on the porch.

Today was a very productive and wonderful day. Despite the fact Kavin only took one (morning) nap I was still able to overcome an abundance of tasks that were on the to do list. Lucky with the forecast being gloom and cold it was easier to get things accomplished and not wishing I was doing absolutely anything outside. By far the best part of my day/ week was the little treasures Weston collected for me while at school. Watching him dig through his pocket he revealed a button he found in the wood chips while playing. The amount of joy that filled my heart can not be explained.. yes it is just a button but a beautiful little white button that made him happy knowing he would hand me a gift at the end of his school day. But that was not the end to my treasures! With a big smile on his face he shuffled through his backpack and handed me a card that read I LOVE YOU. Even though I miss that little stink while he is at school I have been able to have more freedom to get back into painting ( which I soon hope to have up) and the beginnings of preparation for a vintage clothing line that has been long in the works. So keep a look out for my store opening. So thrilled about this.
